I just returned from a week in Mexico City. First time in Mexico, first time vacationing over the holidays. This photo was shot in Chinatown, a small, crumbling neighborhood on the edge of the historic city center.
Mexico City is very photogenic, I'll sure I'll be posting more photos from my trip soon.

A few years ago I taught a class in alternative photographic processes. As part of the class we worked on instant film lifts and transfers. Instant film can be unpredictable, with exposure errors, incomplete developing, and other errors which make the print unusable being pretty common. My students were tossing their failed prints, but I started gathering them up, thinking they might be good for collage. I made several, then moved on to other things. Here are several of the better ones.

I had an errand to run in downtown Chicago yesterday, so grabbed my camera and spent a couple hours wandering around and shooting photos in the Bridgeport neighborhood afterwards. Bridgeport is a pretty interesting neighborhood, and every time I'm in it I make a mental note to go shoot there.  Got a few good ones, including the one above. Some more will show up here sooner or later.
